07-10-2010: YUCK!!!!!!!

The only things going on around this job site are pumping water out of the trenches and basement on a regular basis and more rain.  We had 2 inches early Friday morning which filled up all of the trenches to the tops (some of the trenches are 4 feet deep).  It was quite a shock to me when I came out on Friday morning because I did not hear the rain and had believed that it was dry enough for the plumber to work.  It rained another 1 1/8 inches Friday evening.  The pictures above were taken when we got home last night and discovered that we would get to pump the water out again.  It's raining today as well.

We've now had just under 14 inches of rain in the 3 weeks since the basement trench was started and about 12 inches in the past week!  That really sucks!!!
