Hurricane Alex has not been kind to us. We've had just under 5 inches of rain since Thursday night with it still raining and more coming this way. A flood warning was issued for Lubbock County about 30 minutes ago. I'm not sure how deep the water is in the basement yet, but I'm guessing that you could probably swim in it. If it ever stops raining, our next project will be to find a place to pump the water out. It looks like it may take a day or two for things to dry out when the rain finally stops.

You have been hammered. I don't know how much we've had here, but I would guess not even half that much. It's raining here now. Hope it stops soon.
I asked Alex not to visit Corpus, and he promised not to. Guess I should have added Lubbock to the request.
I think you should have asked Alex to visit Lake Meredith. It was the perfect opportunity to add years worth of water, and they missed out!
