Rick left early Friday morning to meet with a roofer, and I worked in the morning and arrived mid-afternoon. Rick had loaded his van with the painted drawers and doors, and the overflow filled up the back of my car. He had leveled the east cabinets and was working on the floor trim when I arrived. I received a crash course in installing drawer glides on drawers and got them all on and the drawers in the cabinets.
On Saturday, I received training in installing hinges onto the doors was able to get them all on, and we then hung the doors (except a couple in the 2nd bathroom and one in the kitchen due to running short on hinges) in the kitchen and main bathroom. I worked more on sanding filled nail holes on the trim and baseboards, and Rick installed shelving and brackets for clothes rods in the master closet. We then started installing bathroom flooring in the main bathroom.
Sunday morning, we put down baseboards and installed the toilet in the master bathroom. We then moved to the 2nd bathroom and removed the toilet before beginning the very tedious task of installing flooring around the curved shower area and small spaces. We didn't fully complete it but hopefully got the toughest sections done. I also filled nail holes in the newly installed kitchen trim, master bedroom closet, and main bathroom.
It feels like we got a lot accomplished over the weekend and is really starting to look different. There are lots of little projects to finish and some bigger tasks to begin in the laundry room in the next few weeks.
