06-29-2010: Footing marked

The footing was marked today, and the foundation guys will be out tomorrow to trench and pour the footing (if we don't get too much rain tonight). We really lucked out today with missing some big rain clouds and have gotten just under 1/2 inch of rain since Sunday night. Most of the area has gotten much more. We aren't out of the woods yet, though--Hurricane Alex is possibly headed this way for the weekend.

Already feeling the effects of hurricane alex-michael
Yuck! The forecast has now changed to "heavy rain" for today and tonight...hope they get that footing poured early. I guess we'll probably be pumping water out of the basement. It already has some in it now.
