Rick did a lot of tiling today!  It's looking really good and is matching up well around the island.  We'll work on cutting the edge pieces soon.  The center pieces will be set up tomorrow which will make it much easier to move around.  I grouted the guest shower, bathroom and closet tonight.  We'll get the floor tile in the master shower tomorrow and will continue to work on the other floor tile.  The two guest bathrooms are close to being finished.

04-05-2011: Tile, day 11

The guest bathroom and closet (first 2 pictures) are now tiled.  We grouted the hall bathroom floor and shower tonight and marked the starting edge for the kitchen tile.  We have to be finished one month from today.

04-04-2011: Tile, day 10

Rick tiled the hall bathroom today, and I grouted the entryway tile and part of the guest shower.  He'll work on tiling the guest bathroom tomorrow, and we're getting close to tackling the kitchen/bar/hall/utility room floors.

04-03-2011: Tile, day 9

 It took us both another 6-7 hours to finish the guest shower today, but it's finally done and looks good..  We stayed home from our Sunday night dinner group (again) and worked on tiling the front entryway.  We are using 20" tiles, and it went fairly quickly and smoothly.  There were several cuts though. 

I also worked on the waterproof membrane in the master shower tonight.  Rick will work on the floor in the hall bathroom while I'm at work tomorrow.  I'm hoping to be home early to help speed up the tiling process.  It's much faster with both of us working on it.  I run the tile saw and keep him supplied with cut and full tiles.

04-02-2011: Tile, day 8

We got most of the guest shower finished on Saturday but still lacked a lot of tedious cuts around the doorway.

On Friday, Rick poured the shower seat in the master shower and started putting up tile in the guest shower.
